TUSD Seeks Applicants for Measure L
Citizens' Oversight Committee


The Tustin Unified School District is seeking applicants for its Measure L Citizens' Oversight Committee.  Measure L is the Districtís $95 million school facilities modernization bond that passed in 2008. 

The committee consists of at least seven members, including a parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the District; a parent or guardian active in a parent-teacher organization such as a PTA, PTO or school-site council; a person who is active in a senior citizensí organization; an individual who is active in a bonafide taxpayers association; and an at-large representative.

The TUSD Board of Education will appoint five new members to the committee to inform the public regarding the expenditure of Measure Lís proceeds for school construction. 

The oversight committee also engages in activities such as receive and review copies of performance and financial audits, and inspect school facilities and grounds.
